The FND Pregnancy/Women’s Health Collaboration is an international group of FND experts trying to understand the links between women’s health, pregnancy, and symptoms of FND, which will lead to better care for women with functional neurological disorder. As part of this effort, we are currently running two anonymous online surveys. Each survey takes about 10 minutes to fill out. We seek input by women aged 18 and above who have FND.
1. The first study investigates the effect that aspects of women’s health such as menstrual cycles (periods), menopause, and diseases such as endometriosis have on symptoms of FND. For more information, and to participate in this study follow this link.
2. The second study looks at the effect that pregnancies and pregnancy-related health conditions have on symptoms of FND. For more information, and to participate in this study follow this link.
Both studies have been reviewed and approved by a Human Research Ethics Committee (reference HREC/2022/QMS/89227 and HREC/2023/MNHA/99899).
If you have any questions which are not covered in the studies’ information sheets, you can contact the investigators at FND.Research@health.qld.gov.au.
